How we’re responding to the COVID-19 virus.

Kait Bickel has been at Cedarhurst of Shiloh for three years. Her first year was spent as a dietary aide, and the last two years she has excelled as a dedicated caregiver! She knew for quite some time that she wanted to move onward and upward with Cedarhurst while working toward her goal of becoming a registered nurse, and then hopefully a nurse practitioner one day.

Kait’s favorite part of her job is leaving at the end of the day knowing that she helped others and that she has continued developing her relationships with our residents. Kait is loyal, dependable and always reaching out to those in need of some special attention. She will make a wonderful nurse one day and we all agree that she is on the right path, right here with us at Cedarhurst!

Kait is a second-year nursing major at Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville. This Summer, while putting in many hours here with us, she was able to complete her final Spanish course and receive her minor in Spanish. She has been able to maintain her 4.0 GPA and her spot on the Dean’s List. Now, her focus will be back on nursing and helping out her Alpha Phi sorority sisters in her free time. Kait enjoying helping her sorority with their fundraiser efforts, raising money and awareness for Women’s Heart Disease. She is also their social media chairman, which allows her to enjoy some of her other hobbies: photography and web design.

Kait loves to spend time with her family, friends and enjoys attending church and bible study. She is very close with her family, especially her sister, and she loves getting to see her dog when she goes home. Fun Facts: Kait has hidden talents on the piano and ukulele.
