How we’re responding to the COVID-19 virus.

There is always something going on for all to enjoy here at Cedarhurst. Our residents often say “Why didn’t I come here 10 years ago, it’s like I got my life back”. We have all become one big family. We are so proud to have a community where all ages feel welcome and have fun together. Even the grandkids cannot wait to come see grandma and grandpa. Marge Stiver’s grandson, Nolan asked “Are we going to GG’s castle today?” Cedarhurst, it’s where everyone wants to be!

Here at Cedarhurst of Shiloh it is not just about the seniors that live in our community, it is about their entire family. Sure we have amazing activities for our residents but their daughters, sons, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren have a blast here too!

In February, Cedarhurst of Shiloh had a wine and cheese tasting. All of our friends and families were invited to come try some of the finest cheeses and learned what wines to pair them with. It was a great night for our residents to spend time with their children. One of our memory care residents said it was the best date night he and his wife have had in years.

Every year, Cedarhurst of Shiloh hosts a big family Easter Egg Hunt where we hide hundreds of eggs, serve breakfast, have kids activities and even the Easter Bunny shows up! Our residents love watching their grandkids hunt for eggs and play around our community.

Memorial Day is one of our favorites. Our building will be decked out in red, white and blue with patriotic music playing throughout. We have invited everyone’s family in for a BBQ style lunch and outdoor games.

Summertime at Cedarhurst of Shiloh is going to be busy this year! We have our June friends and family event coming up where we will have drinks, snacks, and entertainment. We have also planned a trip for a ride on the St. Louis Riverboat and we are going fishing at the Sportsman’s Club. Those are just a few! For sure there will be many trips to the local ice cream shops, a trip to Red Bud for lunch, and a day at the lake.

Once summer comes to an end we can start planning for our Fall Festival, Thanksgiving and Christmas events. The fun never stops at GG’s Castle!
